GCT Racing Team to field 2 cars
For 8 years GCT racing Team has been on the sidelines waiting for the opportune time to enter the Auto Club Late Model field.
After winning many regional, state, national, and even a world championship in karting. Team manager Travis Irving and Owner
Ed Irving will be seizing the new opportunities presented to them by Toyota Speedway at Irwindale making the Late Model
class a premier division.
Our family has been involved in racing for almost 60 years spanning 4 generations of Irving’s. As a family look forward to not
only racing hard and having fun, but to expand our effort to include another car. " Ed Irving stated, " There are lot of drivers that
are hesitant to race at Toyota Speedway because the competition level is extremely high and takes more than just a fast car
to win here. You need the whole package to be perfectly in-sync at all times." And that is exactly what GCT Racing Team aims
to do.
At the young age of 14, Andrew Murray of Temecula, Ca will be the driver of the #18 Late model primarily sponsored by PC550
Holdings with an associate sponsorship from Napa of Temecula and K1Speed. Andrew not only will be in one of the best cars
in the field, but will be expertly guided to success with Paul Copenhaver as crew chief and Travis Irving as driver coach/team
manager. Andrew was has already seen luck come his way with NASCAR very recently lowering the minimum age to 14 years
old. Now that Andrew may participate in late model races at Toyota Speedway, he is looking to show why age is only a number
and turn in results to take him to the next step in his career.
Travis Irving will be pulling double duty this year. Not only will he be working his hardest to supply Andrew with a race winning
car but will also be competing in a full season of Auto Club Late Model racing. As in years past, Travis will be sporting the
traditional black and white California Highway Patrol car with associate sponsorship from Great Central Transport, MTA-la.com
and One11 ink. With both Andrew and Travis Being powered by GJM Motorsports and Lizzard racing Engines.
GCT Racing Team looks forward to seeing everyone this year at the track and keep a look out for more information throughout
the year on the progression of GCT Racing Team on TravisIrving.com

NASCAR TOYOTA ALL-STAR SHOWDOWN
T he ”Daytona 500 of short-track racing”
It has been a long time since TV was present at one of my races. This weekend, on SPEED, will be the TOYOTA Showdown from Irwindale,
California. It is the first race of the year and the whole race will be aired LIVE starting at 7pm pst. After partnering with the California Highway
Patrol and being a spokesperson for the Designated Driver Program for 3 years sporting the black and white CHP colors proudly, this will
be the first race that the logo will not be on the car. The car is all white with a GCT sticker on the hood (no GCT isn't sponsoring me but David
and I are taking Thursday and Friday off so there is our sponsorship) with the trusty 85 on the car has it has been for four generations now.
I hope you can watch the race as this is usually the best racing of the year with already 35 cars entered. If you would like more info you can
head to Travisirving.com where I will put some info on the race tom along with a short video. Thanks for your time and take care
Ps . If yourself or anyone you know would like to advertise on the car for this race or future races please feel free to contact me through
my website as it goes straight to my phone.
